Carbon Design Systems Unveils Virtual Prototype Solutions for ARM Cortex-A72

Carbon announced today immediate availability of multiple Carbon Performance Analysis Kits (CPAKs) featuring the ARM® Cortex®-A72 processor core. 

In addition, designers can now configure their own implementation accurate virtual model of the Cortex-A72 on Carbon’s IP Exchange web portal.

With the move to greater complexity, problems that were once isolated to individual design blocks are now system-level concerns. Cache coherency is just the latest of these concerns. Every SoC team is facing or will face this challenge. Cache coherency interacts with many aspects of SoC functionality. Proper verification requires fast cycle-accurate models and coherency-aware randomized stress test cases.

Carbon today announced general availability of Carbon System Exchange, a web portal enabling greater designer productivity faster with pre-built virtual prototype systems. 

Carbon System Exchange simplifies access to Carbon Performance Analysis Kits (CPAKs), pre-built systems or subsystems with software at the bare metal or operating system (O/S) level. The new web portal found at www.carbonsystemexchange.com features software, intellectual property (IP) and systems solutions from numerous providers, including Altera, ARM, Arteris, Breker Verification Systems, Cadence Design Systems, Hughes, Kozio, NetSpeed Systems and Open-Silicon.

Carbon Announces Partnerships with Arteris and Netspeed Systems for Internal Use and End Customer Enablement

Carbon made two press releases today with providers of advanced SoC interconnect IP.  Arteris and Netspeed Systems will each adopt CPAKs and other Carbon virtual prototype solutions for internal use and have the ability to distribute CPAKs and 100% accurate virtuals models to their end customers using Carbon IP Exchange.
