ARM has acquired the product portfolio and other business assets of Carbon Design Systems (Carbon), a leading supplier of cycle-accurate virtual prototyping solutions, to deliver design optimization, time-to-market and cost-efficiency gains for its partners. As part of this acquisition, Carbon’s staff will transfer to ARM.

Carbon Design Systems Unveils Virtual Prototype Solutions for ARM Cortex-A72

Carbon announced today immediate availability of multiple Carbon Performance Analysis Kits (CPAKs) featuring the ARM® Cortex®-A72 processor core. 

In addition, designers can now configure their own implementation accurate virtual model of the Cortex-A72 on Carbon’s IP Exchange web portal.

Carbon Announces Partnerships with Arteris and Netspeed Systems for Internal Use and End Customer Enablement

Carbon made two press releases today with providers of advanced SoC interconnect IP.  Arteris and Netspeed Systems will each adopt CPAKs and other Carbon virtual prototype solutions for internal use and have the ability to distribute CPAKs and 100% accurate virtuals models to their end customers using Carbon IP Exchange.
